In the city, our company has topped #1 wildlife control company for three years straight. One thing we promote is the way we value both our customers and the animals we handle. With our customers, we want to be sure they are having a nice experience by showing them courtesy and respect as well as provide them with the assistance that they are in need for. Other than removing the animal from the property, we also make repairs on the damage that they may have caused. Leaving entry points open after the exclusion will only cause the animals to come back. It’s also just as important to clean out the area where they have been residing, since their droppings and remains can cause illness when it starts to get in the air. On the other hand, we show our value for the wildlife by ensuring they are safe when they are being excluded from the location. We do this by removing them from a property through methods that are humane and safe for them. Our team refrains from using harmful traps, poison, and other ways that could potentially cause harm to the animals during the process. We do this despite the location of the critter, whether it’s inside or outside the property.

Ventura wildlife control Tip of the Month:

Is It Dangerous to Touch or Breathe in Bat Feces?
The vast majority of us will never come in contact with the bat. The closest we will ever get the one is when we are watching some Dracula movie. However, this is not true for certain parts of the country. If you live in the desert, certain mountain areas, or even some farm communities, bats can be quite common. They frequently get into people's homes or businesses, roost in barns or caves, or can be seen when you are out on a hike through the hills or mountains.

The Danger Is Lurking
When most people encounter a bat, they do everything possible to stay away from them. These animals only come out at nighttime, a time when most people are sheltered in for the evening and have started a fire to keep themselves warm. That fire is often enough of a deterrent to keep bats away, but that is not true if there are small animals or a lot of insects present. Bats love to eat those things, so they may come around your fire. It makes sense to do what you can to keep them away, but for more than just concern out of being scratched or bitten. These animals are the carriers of a number of parasites and diseases, some of which can be lethal to human beings. Even coming in contact with their waste can present a health risk to you. This is something you need to understand if you are ever to breathe in or touch bat feces.

Stay Away!!
If you come across an area where a bat has relieved itself, you need to stay away. Understand that inside the feces of these animals are numerous parasites, bacteria, and viruses that pose a risk to you. Just coming in contact with your skin can put you at risk. All it takes is for a parasite to begin to burrow is way into your skin or for you to breathe in a particle from the feces and you can be infected. The same is true if you breathe in a particle that has bacteria or virus attached to it. The challenging part about this is that as bat feces dries, its particles become airborne. In areas where it is quite windy, you can almost guarantee that these particles will spread over a long distance. That puts you at risk.

Caring for Yourself
Should you discover that you have touched or breathe then some of this material, you need to wash your body and seek medical attention as soon as possible. Understand that it isn't necessary for you to come in direct contact with the bat. Simply breathing in or touching the feces of this animal poses a major risk to you. This is why if you are wondering if it is dangerous to touch this material or to inhale it, the answer is most definitely yes! Don't put yourself at risk it all. Make sure you keep yourself guarded in areas where bats are known to live.
